Instructor Lee Mair
History
My Name is Lee Mair I first started training at the age of 15, I enjoyed it then and love it now.
I started studying boxing in 1992 and have continued to the present day competing successfully as an amateur.
Eight years ago I started kickboxing, I saw this as an extension of range to my boxing training and I believe it is a beneficial aid to my development and overall style.
Why stop there
So I thought if I enjoyed Kickboxing why not try something else, and I became a more all round martial artist when I found Grappling. I began training in various ground fighting and submission styles including Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Judo and Greco Roman styles.
As a result of all my training I continue to study mixed martial arts and have attended a number of seminars around England.
My next goal was to train in America with some of the best martial artists in the world. This became a reality and I have been lucky enough to make my dream come true not once but twice.
My visits to America were the best experience of my life, I had the chance to train with The Machados, Ica Medina, John Will, Dan Inosanto and many more. Also meeting Michael Dudikoff, Eric Paulson and more Machado black belts.
I am a full time professional Martial Art Instructor who is graded to the level of 2nd Dan Black Belt in the A.F.C system under Sensei John Atkin and I am a certified Instructor through the British Combat Association.
I currently teach a wide range of students from all walks of life, which range from beginners to successfully active competitors within boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts.
At present I teach anyone who wants to learn male or female, in private and group classes.
Group classes: Boxing
Fitness Circuits
Private classes Boxing
Fitness circuits
kickboxing
Close range submission fighting
Self defence.
The biggest pleasure comes from seeing the Individuals who have little or no experience start to train and grow in skill and confidence within there own martial art as well as those with experience simply continuing to grow.
I truly believe that people as individuals are there own styles and that no single art has right or wrong techniques. Personal goals and development should be the focus whether it is technique, skill or fitness.
To sum it up
If it work’s for you
Use it
If it doesn’t
Keep trying
